Welcome to the Trib Crashing the Mercedes of good taste into the tunnel of your inbox, The Tranny Tribune is here to bring you up to date with developments in our community this month. Sorry this issue is a bit late. It's been a busy time with one thing and another. I'm pleased to say that our Trannyweb music project is starting to move ahead and I can now reveal that we have opted for that good old Shania Twain tranny anthem, "Man! I feel like a woman". There's a surprise! Our band is called T-Girl Riot and although the music bit is recorded and ready to go, we do still need more vocalists. There's more on this and how you can become involved yourself, below right. Another exciting development is the prospect of our first Trannyweb Girly Night Out in Chicago, Illinois - home of the pig sickle, Mrs O'Leary's cow, the Cubs, the White Sox, the Bears, maker of meat on a bone and spare ribber for the world... as Hawkeye once said in an episode of Mash. If you live nearby, we'd like to see you there in your best frock. There more on this below as well, along with news of our next outing in the UK. Please also find Anyfer Darling's review of our last outing to Pink Punters in Milton Keynes, UK, which took place at the end of last month. That should give you an idea of what you've been missing out on. You can find Anyfer's review at the bottom of this page. Bennie Lee Ferguson has been busy on the hustings again this month as she heads for glory in the Oval Office. Trannyweb's Robin Webb talks to her in this issue, about the things that matter when you are a transvestite politician. Hugs, Katie xxxx Dr

Meredith “Scoop” Newton welcomes any and all girls to Chicago for our first official TW Midwest events! The first event, which will be on a date still to be determined, will take place at the end of September. Noelle Chimes will be visiting my fair city for her anniversary, and once that date is set all are welcome to meet up with us. As soon as Noelle knows which days she will be visiting I will post an official announcement, as well as an itinerary. The BIG date will then follow on Saturday, October 20. Among the following activities can include, but are not limited to:
As soon as I have a body count, I can make firm plans as to where we go, what we do, and who we do it to(!). You are welcome to either one, or both, events. I can help find a hotel/motel to your liking, as well as with travel arrangements. I have a studio apartment, so I really would not be able to house more than 1-2 people there. Come on out to the Windy City! Dress appropriately. Chicago has all four seasons. Often in the same day. Please contact me either through TW here or through my e-mail addy at oakman_7@hotmail.com. The Trannyweb Transgender Music Project we mentioned a few issues back is starting to move forward and we are now looking for some TW girls to be our singers. I should point out that this is a non-profit venture and we won't be selling it. We will simply make it available for free to all and sundry on the Trannyweb site. Likewise, there is no payment for anyone who gets involved. It's just a bit of fun between friends. Trannyweb member, Penny Layne, is now in charge of the project and has started our girly band. They're called T-Girl Riot (very appropriate) and so far the band consists of names such as Lucy Diamond, Nikki Hollm, Allie Jantzen, Jayne McGregor, Jasmine (aka Queen T) and Sophie X. Why, we even have a MySpace T-Girl Riot band page at: http://www.myspace.com/tgirlriot The girls have decided on Shania Twain's "Man! I feel like a woman" for their first offering and Penny has already created a backing track at her studio in Delaware. You can hear it by clicking the following links: Man! I Feel Like a Woman - with vocal Man! I Feel Like a Woman - Instrumental Version
If you'd like to be part of all this you'll also need to be happy about possibly appearing in the video which we hope will eventually accompany the song. If we haven't completely scared you off and you'd still like to be involved in this project, please drop a line to Penny by following this link. Tranny News Around The World In Brief Tranny State Workers Protected
Kansas Governor, Kathleen Sebelius, has issued an executive order which makes it illegal to discriminate against state employees because of their sexual orientation or gender identity, regardless of their job performance. The order will protect more than 37,000 state employees from being denied jobs, fired or discriminated against because they are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender. The order takes effect immediately. A US national and international gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender civil rights organization, Equality Forum, has also announced that 470 of this year's Fortune 500 companies voluntarily include sexual orientation in their employment nondiscrimination policies. That's 94% of them. Transgender Teacher keeps his job
Since 1995 music teacher, Leslie Webster, has taught at the Duke School for Children in Durham, North Carolina, a private kindergarten through eighth grade school. Now Ms Webster has become Mr Webster and this week, the school sent a letter to parents saying that teachers would discuss the sex change with students who were taught by Webster last year. A number of parents are calling for Mr Webster to leave but for now, the school is keeping him on. Next UK Trannyweb Girly Night Out
We're under starters orders for the next UK Trannyweb Girly Night Out at Pink Punters in Milton Keynes, UK, on Saturday 29th September. There will also be the usual sit-down meal at the Campanile Hotel across the road beforehand. All of our girls are welcome. Please contact Maryanne Talmadge or Justine Cairnes if you'd like to go along. Also, see Anyfer Darling's review of our last gathering, below. |

Girls Night Out Trannyweb member Anyfer Darling tells us about her first night out with the TW Girls at Pink Punters...
Justine asked me to write a few words about the girls weekend on August 25th this year and of course gracing our presence, or should it be inflicting ourselves hehe, on PP's (Pink Punters.) Firstly, I would like to set out my perspective. I have been TS since puberty. I have been struggling with identity crisis for as long as I can remember being that my feelings are different to what is socially expected by what I now know as moggles. This was going to be my first time out in public as Anyfer. I set out for the Campanile Hotel on Saturday morning quite ambivalent with feelings of excitement and sheer horror. When I arrived my hands were shaking and sweaty. I pulled myself together and decided that I am going out as the real me no matter what, a girl's got to do what a girl's got to do! I put more effort in to dressing because although I have been dressing for over 20 years and got a few good tips from my x RG's, I didn’t know if my standard was good enough. However, when I met the girls for the first time everyone was so nice and accepted me for who I was. The meal was a great way to meet the girls and get introduced. The food was good too! By that time I had already had four double Bacardi and Cokes to help settle the nerves - lol! That’s a good excuse, I’ll have to use that one again!
We got over to PP's just before 9.30pm so it was FREE ENTRY!! WOOT! It is opposite the Campanile Hotel so no taxi required. Lots of fun people to watch enjoying themselves and plenty of good conversation. Two dance floors and a sitting area on the 3rd floor. Outside is a lovely log fire and a FREE! BBQ. I rolled into my hotel room about half five but I’m not quite sure lol. I got kicked out of the hotel at 12 noon and headed to MA's for Sunday Roast with the girls. Upon arrival I got handed a Bacardi and Coke and settled down for a very pleasant and relaxing afternoon with good conversation, stuff the hangover – I didn’t have time for that! Lucy cooked an exceptional Sunday Roast! As evening set in someone casually mentioned PP's and suddenly there was buzzing electricity in the air and comments like “You are forcing me but I’ll go if I must” and “I’m only going to give you girls emotional support!” LOL. Everyone was ready in a snap. Again PP's was brilliant, fantastic atmosphere and loads of interesting people to chat with. I would say there were 300, maybe 400 people there and many were t-girls. I felt quite comfortable and did not receive any undesirable attention. Lucy showed me a few nifty moves on the dance floor. I have never danced before - another great experience to add to the list. I have learned more about myself in one weekend than I have in 20 years. If you are in a similar situation to what I was then a weekend out with the girls is a must and the best step any TS can take. I have to say, when home time approached I was holding back a tear for having such a wonderful weekend. A BIG THANK YOU to Justine, MA, Mags, Char, Lucy, Jay, Lynn, Nikki, Lisa and of course Sammi who will always be the first t-girl I met. You are all so lovely. XXX Anyfer |
