Welcome to the August 2007 issue of he Tranny Trib.

Firstly, may I thank everyone who sent me "get well" greetings in the last month. I am starting to get back into the swing now and your good wishes have helped a great deal.

This month I am very pleased to have had the privilege of interviewing Lucille Sorella, a successful author from New York City. Her books are of great interest to transgender girls like us and as a genetic girly, she is able to offer an extra special view on the tranny subjects she writes about.

Having read them all myself, I can definitely recommend Lucille's books to anyone who wants to look like a passable female. I was most impressed. You can see my interview with Lucille below.

Our UK girls appear to have found a new venue for their Trannyweb nights out, in Milton Keynes! Looks like they'll be going there for the second month in a row on August 25th. Details below if you'd like to go too.

Justine will be running our next Wine and Cheese party in our chat room on Sunday August 19th and she is also appealing this month, for more people to help organise TW tranny night's out and other social activities. Wine, Cheese, Chat & Our Next Nite Out

Pink Punters - Milton Keynes

After a fabulous first visit to Pink Punters this month we have decided that we just have to go back for more of the same in August. PP is a fabulous, fun and friendly venue and well worth a visit.

Accommodation is available at the Campanile hotel which is just across the road from PP. That's only a minute away, though I'm still not sure if this can be done in a minute in 6 inch heels! lol). Double and twin rooms at the Campanile are £49.95 per room per night, and can be booked by phoning the Campanile on 01908 649 819. PP is a popular venue so I would suggest booking as early as possible.

Bennie Lee's Quest For The Oval Office

Here's a roundup of recent happenings on Bennie Lee's quest for the Whitehouse...

There have been three major campaign events over the past couple of months: Oklahoma City, the Wichita GLBT Pride Day, and Fourth of July in Wichita.

OKLAHOMA CITY - Transgendered independent write-in U.S. presidential candidate Bennie Lee "Ben" Ferguson campaigned in Oklahoma City June 17-20.  The candidate lodged at OKC's famous Habana Inn GLBT resort. Campaign literature was distributed at The Park and Tramps on Oklahoma City's 39th Avenue GLBT strip. The candidate also attended a meeting of the GLBT Alcoholics Anonymous group Live and Let Live. Substance abuse issues are an important interest of Ferguson's as she herself begun recovery in connection with a longstanding alcohol problem only two years ago.

GLBT PRIDE DAY IN WICHITA, KANSAS - Federal Election Commission independent write-in presidential candidate Bennie Lee "Ben" Ferguson campaigned yesterday, June 24, at the "Out and About" GLBT Pride Celebration in Wichita, Kansas. Campaign literature was distributed to the crowd along the parade route as well as to local media representatives, including the "Wichita Eagle," KWCH-CH 12 television, and "The Liberty Press." ("Liberty
Press" editor and publisher Kristi Parker announced that an article regarding Ferguson's candidacy will appear in the July issue.

Ferguson appeared briefly in the television news segment of the event as part of coverage provided by KTVH-CH 3.) The candidate met with representatives from Wichita State University's "That Gay Group" and Kansas Equality Coalition Chairman Thomas Witt. Ferguson also chatted briefly with officers from the Wichita Police Department, commending them for ensuring the security of the event by the arrest, on charges of trespassing, of a local anti-GLBT minister who attempted to disrupt the celebration.

FOURTH OF JULY IN WICHITA - The candidate appeared at the Fourth of July drag show at Glacier's Club on Wichita's Hillside strip hosted by local female impersonator Adina Ronet.  Ferguson was dolled up in her seasonal red, white, and blue American flag mini-dress especially for the occasion (see photos).  Copies of the July issue of local GLBT magazine the "Liberty Press" featuring an op/ed letter from the candidate were distributed, as well as hard copies of "Tranny Tribune" relating to the campaign.

Due to financial constraints personal campaign appearances have been restricted to the Kansas/Oklahoma region.  However, the campaign is expecting an influx of funds in August and there are tentative plans for appearances in Las Vegas, Nevada and Dallas, Texas.  Ferguson will also embark upon a fact-finding mission in connection with a planned vacation in Israel.

What Trannyweb Has Done for Me...

Lucille Sorella is a successful author who's books appeal to transgender girls the world over. Trannyweb's Katie Glover caught up with her recently...

KG: Firstly, please tell us a little about yourself - where you're from, what your background is like and that kind of thing.

Lucille Sorella

LS: Sure! I am a genetic woman from New York City who's been working with the transgender community for the past five years. My professional background includes fashion design, dance and natural healing, which gives me a lot to draw upon when working with transgender females.

KG: You have written several books for transvestites, crossdressers and transsexuals. Tell us about them?

LS: The book I am most proud of is called “The Flat to Fem Breast Enlargement Program” and it is the world's first guide to natural male breast enlargement. I have also written several feminization reports on the topics of fashion, makeup, feminine movement, hair removal, and voice training.

KG: As a genetic female yourself, how did you become interested in writing for transgender people?

LS: I consider it a happy accident! I originally wrote a natural breast enlargement book for genetic women, but it turned out that many of my customers were male. They were getting such great results I decided to focus my energies there instead.

Incidentally, I began my fashion career designing costumes for drag queens. It seems I have a cosmic connection with the transgender community! I'm happy about this, as I really enjoy working with crossdressers and transsexuals.

KG: Your Flat to Fem breast enlargement program certainly is most impressive. How did you come up with it?

LS: As I mentioned earlier, it grew out of the program I originally devised for women. Fortunately, I had a few willing “subjects” help me test and refine the techniques for males.

KG: Is it completely safe? Are there any side effects?

LS: My program utilizes common herbs and simple massage techniques that are considered to be very safe. (Of course I recommend speaking with your doctor first if you have health concerns or are taking prescription medications.) Side effects such as bloating or nausea are rare, though you could always use a different herb if a particular one does not agree with you.

KG: Are the results permanent?

LS: Yes, and for that reason I recommend thinking through your decision to develop breasts.

KG: Do you do anything else, apart from writing or is this your main work?

LS: I am also a professional belly dancer and fitness instructor. One of these days I'd like to release an instructional belly dance video for crossdressers!

KG: Your other titles like "6 Foolproof Steps to a Feminine Face" and "Secrets to a Sexy Womanly Walk", "Style Secrets for the Classy Crossdresser" and "How to develop a Female Voice" are extremely useful for those of us who want to look as feminine and passable as possible. Do you have any plans to write more books like this in the future?

LS: Yes, I am working on a comprehensive feminization guide written from the perspective of a genetic female. I'd like to reveal secrets of the female experience, so you not only look and act like a real women, but FEEL like one as well!

KG: Some of our members are worried about books like these being delivered through the mail, especially those who live outside the US. Is there any way they can have access to your work without the postman finding out?

LS: All of my books are available as digital downloads so you do not have to worry about physical evidence (aside from your new boobs, of course!). I take your privacy very seriously.

KG: Is there anything else you'd like to tell us about?

LS: I would just like to say that I am grateful for the encouragement I have received from the transgender community and want to do all I can to support crossdressers and transsexuals. I think it'd be a better world if more men explored their feminine sides!
