We
need you to take part in the future to make our tranny community
even better for all of us in 2005. So please do make
use of the chat rooms, post in the forums, use the photo
galleries, blogger, shop and all the other features. It's
all there for you.
Please
excuse this slightly shorter than usual edition. The editor
(me) is about to go away on vacation and with the holidays
just finished, has not had as much time as usual for journalism.
That's also the reason why we're sending the
January edition out slightly early.
As you read this I will probably be
on a plane heading away from the British winter.

Katie
to Climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge!
 Our
mentor and figurehead, Katie Glover, is on her way to Australia,
primarily for a vacation (and boy, does she need it).
However,
while she's there she will also be doing three things...
1.)
Hosting a Trannyweb Girls Night Out in Sydney
2.) Trying to set up Trannyweb Australia
3.) Climbing up the Sydney Harbour Bridge to raise money
for Cancer Research.
 Several
of her friends and family were diagnosed with various forms
of cancer over the last couple of years and so she's decided
that it would make sense to use her bridge climb, which
she was going to do anyway, as an excuse to raise some funding
for a very worthy cause.
As one
in three of us will have some form of cancer during the
course of our lives, Katie has chosen a Cancer Research
charity to be the beneficiary of your generosity.
Katie
has a sponsorship page at JustGiving.com which enables the
charity to receive sponsor money directly, without Katie
being involved. That means she won't have to chase people
up when she gets back!
Katie
is paying for the trip and all expenses herself so any sponsorship

help with Hormones |
| A
big welcome to two new forum moderators, Kerry
Bell and Lisa Perko, both of whom are pharmacists,
working with online drugstore, GlobalDrug.
That
makes them extremely good sources of advice for
our Hormone City forum.
And
we really do need advice. Katie was astounded
by a recent post from a tranny girl who had been
prescribing herself hormones and ended up having
a massive heart attack.
Please
don't make the same mistake. Remember that a little
knowledge can be very dangerous and there really
is no substitute for professional medical help.

Girly Night's Out |
| Hopefully
there will be several Trannyweb Girly nights out
in 2005. Last year we had tranny gatherings in
Washington DC, London and Manchester in England
and in Baltimore, Maryland.
We're
hoping to have a girly get-together in Sydney,
Australia this month (January 2005). I think it'll
be a fairly low key affair - perhaps a few drinks
in one of the Tranny Friendly bars in the Oxford
Street area and maybe a meal - we'll see.
It
should also be a good opportunity for first times
to get out in public dressed! We can even give
you details of dressing services if need be.
If
you'd like to come along, please drop
a line to Fiona Clancy as Katie will be
on the plane to Oz and won't be answering any
emails for a while.

always act on your feedback to try to make things better
so we've immediately scrapped the idea of having different
times for chats around the world, as discussed in the
last edition of The Tranny Trib.
You
told us that we need to simplify our nightly geographically
scheduled chats.
So,
instead of having a list of times for people to remember
let's just say that wherever you are in the world, it's
tranny chat time at 8 o'clock every evening.
That's
easy to remember and makes it more likely that there
will be people from your part of the world online at
the same time as you.
2000hrs
/ 8pm your time, wherever you are, every evening - tranny
